Smoky Emerald Eyes Using ONE Brush!!!

I came up with this look on St. Patty's Day, BUT since these are the next three colors in the set, the color of the year is emerald, and green eyeshadow is amazing, I decide this would be a good makeup tutorial to share with you guys. So Happy St. Patrick's Day all year round!

And now about the video; I decided that because not everybody wants to buy a whole set of brushes or ten billion brushes like me, I wanted to share with you the brush I think is most valuable and to show you how to use it in different ways, I made this video to show you guys how to do smoky eyes with only one brush! This look can be done with any color, but I chose green, because I love green eyeshadow and this was the next set of colors for the Stars & Daylilies series. All you need is your favorite color and then a shade dark and lighter or black and white. Smoky eyes are really very simple after a few practices, but like most things, it does take practice, so do not get discouraged if you do not get it right the first time. Even I messed up on my eyeliner while filming this video. Still, the show must go on and I fixed it as best as I could to provide you all with an awesome finished look! So enjoy!

I did this look a lot during March, so there are many pictures!

I think this is a very fun look and if you like dramatic eyes, this could even be an everyday look. This is something I would wear if I was going to class, on St. Patty's Day of course, for a night out. It reminds me of Tinker Bell, so it would probably work great with any kind of fairy costume or elfish costume. I wore this to church and school, so for me it's casual, but for some people it may not be.

I hope you guys are inspired! Don't forget God gave us all different gifts for doing certain things well. Don't waste your talent! Find your gift and use it to glorify HIM! Romans 12:6

For the nails I just applied two coats of Mahogany Magic over a China Glaze Base Coat and then I painted the mirror color onto a rolled up ball of plastic wrap, and pressed it like a stamp onto my nails. I like this much better than the crackle polish, and it gives it a fun geode-like look!

AddiUpdate for May 2013

- Entertainment News
- May ipsy glam bag
- April Favorites
...And yet even without the ipsy glam bag this was still one of my longest videos ever!

I hope you enjoy this video! You may have to watch part of it and then come back later for the rest because this thing goes on forever!

So let's talk about this entertainment news! The Vampire Diaries and Beauty & the Beast just had their season finales last week and I am glad to announce the vampires will be returning in the fall with not one, but two series! The Originals is a new show based off of a group of vampires in the Vampire Diaries. This show is set in New Orleans, where Klaus reunites with an old acquaintance. I do not want to give away anything, so let's just leave it at this; brothers Klaus and Elijah, two of the original vampires, decide to stay in New Orleans for some very interesting reasons that you will have to watch the show to find out. Beauty & the Beast will also be returning in the fall with an all new season!

Question; Why is it called "The Lone Ranger" if he is not actually alone? He's got Tonto...who will be played by Johnny Depp in the new movie coming to theaters this July! I will be posting a makeup tutorial inspired by "The Lone Ranger". I would like to make a look for Percy Jackson as well, but I don't know what I want to do for that one yet.

Thor 2 (Thor: The Dark World) will come out November 8 and Hunger Games: Catching Fire will come out November 22.

Elena Gilbert Makeup Tutorial

So with the Vampire Diaries season 4 coming to an end, I decided to do a makeup tutorial for Elena Gilbert, and I know this is way overdone in the makeup tutorial world, but I really wanted to do a Vampire Diaries look and the colors this time around were perfect for Elena so here it is!

The nice thing about the way they do Elena's makeup for Vampire Diaries is it is a very natural, simple, but universally beautiful, everyday look. I think that is probably why there are so many tutorials out there for her look. Now Elena has dark hair, dark eyes, and bronze skin, so the eye makeup I am wear looks slightly different on me than it does on her. I'm mainly using the Ulta 77-Piece Day, Night & Play Collection Makeup Kit. They no longer have this specific kit, but they come out with new kits all the time and the colors are pretty much the same in each kit. There might be a few new colors in each kit. You can also buy the colors individually. Right now, Ulta has this deal going on where if you buy $19.50 worth of Ulta product, you get a 10 piece Ulta set of your choice for free, plus a free eyeshadow of your choice, and an eyeliner of your choice free. You cannot use clearance items and certain brushes in your $19.50 buy, but I still think this is an awesome deal. You could easily do this look with any one of the Urban Decay Naked palettes. I am pretty sure I also have all of these colors in one of my compacts from AVON. So the colors are easy enough to find. These are pretty basic colors. They work well with any eye color and if you are just starting to wear makeup, these are the colors you want to get into first, and then move on to brighter colors once you have shading down.

Products used: - Too Faced Shadow Insurance
          - Good Girl Eyeshadow Quad from Ulta (shimmery nude color)
          - Ulta Kit eyeshadows; In The Buff, Cafe Ole, & Mink
          - Maybelline Define-A-Line Eyeliner in Ebony
          - Clinique Mascara
          - Joelle Bronzer & Blush
          - Super Strawberry Chubby Stick from Clinique

I apologize for not having very many tutorials and AddiUpdates have been late. I have one week left of school and then I am done with the semester and hopefully I will have more videos up to make up for not being around the past couple months.
